Natalia Viroga holds a degree in Plastic and Visual Arts from the Faculty of Arts at the University of the Republic (UdelaR), Montevideo, where she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art and Visual Culture. She is a graduate of the Programme of Study and Research in Choreographic Composition (PEPCC) at Fórum Dança, Lisbon. She teaches at the Institute of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Arts, University of the Republic (UdelaR), in the Department of Aesthetics and within the Academic Unit for Aesthetic-Pedagogical Approaches and Languages, specifically in the Lukas Kühne Fundamental Workshop. She is also a teacher and coordinator of Levadura, an art and education project for children. She has led creative laboratories in a range of cultural spaces and institutions, including the University of the Arts of Yucatán in Mexico, the Cultural Centre of Spain, and Teatro Solís in Montevideo, among others. She is a member of the academic research group Núcleo de Antropología de la Contemporaneidad, affiliated with the Sectorial Commission for Scientific Research (CSIC–UdelaR). As an artist, she has presented her work at festivals and artistic gatherings across South America, North America, and Europe. She has collaborated with prominent national and international artists as a performer, assistant director, and dramaturgical collaborator. She has received state funding for artistic creation and was recognised for her artistic career through the Fund for the Promotion of Artistic Training and Creation (FEFCA, 2021), awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. Natalia Viroga Natalia Viroga es licenciada en Artes Plásticas y Visuales por la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de la República (UdelaR), Montevideo, donde actualmente cursa una Maestría en Arte y Cultura Visual. Es egresada del Programa de Estudos e Pesquisa em Composição Coreográfica (PEPCC) de Fórum Dança, Lisboa. Se desempeña como docente en el Instituto de Bellas Artes de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de la República (UdelaR), en el Departamento de Estética y, dentro de la Unidad Académica de Abordajes Estético-Pedagógicos y Lenguajes, específicamente en el Taller Fundamental Lukas Kühne. Asimismo, es docente y coordinadora de Levadura, un proyecto de arte y educación dirigido a niños y niñas. Ha coordinado laboratorios de creación en diversos espacios e instituciones culturales, entre ellos la Universidad de las Artes de Yucatán, en México; el Centro Cultural de España; y el Teatro Solís, en Montevideo, entre otros. Integra el grupo académico de investigación Núcleo de Antropología de la Contemporaneidad, perteneciente a la Comisión Sectorial de Investigación Científica (CSIC–UdelaR). Como artista, ha presentado su trabajo en festivales y encuentros artísticos de América del Sur, América del Norte y Europa. Ha colaborado con destacados artistas nacionales e internacionales como intérprete, asistente de dirección y colaboradora dramatúrgica.
