Clarissa Damasceno Melo holds a Master’s Degree in Letters: Languages and Representations, from the State University of Santa Cruz (BRAZIL), where she is still developing research at the doctoral level. Is part of the Research Group “Canon: Dissidences and Re-existences” in the same University. Currently, in addition to being interested in the themes of Brazilian cinema and literature, has been carrying out research on Tupi anthropophagy as well as its resignifications in Brazilian arts, especially during the 20th century, becoming interested in Modernism and Tropicália. In addition to being a researcher and academic, she is a teacher in Basic Education in the municipality of Itajuípe, Colégio Municipal Pedro Catalão, dedicating herself to teaching arts and literature


Clarissa Damasceno Melo tiene una Maestría en Letras: Lenguajes y Representaciones, de la Universidad Estatal de Santa Cruz (BRASIL), donde aún desarrolla investigaciones a nivel de doctorado. Forma parte del Grupo de Investigación “Canon: Disidencias y Re-existencias” de la misma Universidad. Actualmente, además de interesarse por los temas del cine y la literatura brasileños, viene realizando investigaciones sobre la antropofagia tupí y sus resignificaciones en las artes brasileñas, especialmente durante el siglo XX, interesándose por el Modernismo y la Tropicália. Además de investigadora y académica, es docente en Educación Básica en el municipio de Itajuípe, Colégio Municipal Pedro Catalão, dedicándose a la enseñanza de artes y letras.
