Domingo Ortega Criado (Madrid, 1973) has a PhD in Humanities from the Carlos III University of Madrid and a degree from Resad, where he has been a professor since 2010 in the Department of Interpretation. In addition to acting or directing numerous productions or developing his dramaturgy, he has been a teacher at various Spanish and Latin American universities and public and private institutions, and was director of the UCIIIM Theater Classroom between 2002 and 2010. There he taught classes, directed the productions of the theater group and managed different activities, conferences, courses, meetings and festivals. It is worth highlighting his participation in four editions of The Traces of La Barraca (2006-2009), promoted by Acción Cultural Española of the Ministry of Culture. He belongs to the editorial board of Acotación and has published articles in other theater magazines, such as Primer Acto, CELCIT or Teatrae. He visited several Latin American countries while participating in the Transatlantic Theater Project, directed by Marco Antonio de la Parra. His thesis has been dedicated precisely to the figure of this Chilean playwright, so Latin American theater became one of his main lines of research. Others have been theatrical pedagogy or the technique of acting from verbal action.

Además de actuar o dirigir numerosos montajes o elaborar su dramaturgia, ha sido docente en diversas universidades e instituciones públicas y privadas españolas y latinoamericanas, y fue director del Aula de Teatro de la UCIIIM entre 2002 y 2010. Allí impartió clases, dirigió los montajes del grupo de teatro y gestionó distintas actividades, jornadas, cursos, encuentros y festivales. Cabe destacar la participación en cuatro ediciones de Las huellas de La Barraca (2006-2009), promovida por Acción Cultural Española del Ministerio de Cultura. Pertenece al consejo de redacción de Acotaciones y ha publicado artículos en otras revistas de teatro, como Primer Acto, CELCIT o Teatrae. Visitó varios países latinoamericanos al participar en el Proyecto Teatral Transatlántico, que dirigió Marco Antonio de la Parra. Su tesis se ha dedicado precisamente a la figura de este dramaturgo chileno, por lo que el teatro latinoamericano se convirtió en una de sus principales líneas de investigación. Otras han sido la pedagogía teatral o la técnica de la actuación desde la acción verbal.
