Santiago Pérez Aldeguer is a musician, educator, and researcher holding two PhDs: one in Education and another in Performing Arts. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (with Honors) from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht in the Netherlands. As a percussionist and drummer, he has shared his expertise through workshops, performances, pedagogical concerts, and conferences worldwide. Since 2007, his teaching experience has spanned from primary music schools to undergraduate and postgraduate university courses. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the City University of New York (USA), the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (USA), the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Netherlands), and the University of Porto (Portugal). Additionally, he has served as a guest lecturer at the Akademia Muzyczna w Gdansku (Poland), Haute Ecole Namur-Liège-Luxembourg (Belgium), Université Rennes (France), and University College SydDanmark (Denmark), among others. His professional activities include serving on scholarly committees, acting as a peer reviewer, and sitting on the editorial boards of scientific journals. He also collaborates with foundations, NGOs, and media outlets in radio and television. Dr. Pérez Aldeguer has published numerous books, chapters, and papers in prestigious national and international journals. As a performer, he has appeared as a soloist and with ensembles and orchestras across Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, China, Germany, Hungary, France, and Belgium. Notable collaborations include the Mannheimer Ensemble Orchestra, the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, and the Munich Youth Orchestra, performing in world-class venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Herkulessaal in Munich.

Licenciado en Música (con honores) por la Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht en los Países Bajos, ha compartido su pasión como músico especializado en batería y percusión en varios talleres, presentaciones, conciertos pedagógicos y conferencias en todo el mundo.
