Santiago Pérez-Aldeguer is a musician, educator and researcher. He holds a Phd in Education and a Phd in Performing Arts. Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (with Honors) from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht in The Netherlands he has been sharing his passion as a musician specialized in drums and percussion in several workshops, performances, pedagogical concerts and conferences around the world. Since 2007 he has been teaching music from children to elderly in music schools and academies, and music education courses to undergraduate and posgraduate students in different universities. He has been visiting scholar at the City University Of New York-USA, The University of North Carolina at Charlotte-USA, The Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht-The Netherlands, and The University of Porto-Portugal, and has been invited lecturer in the Akademia Muzyczna w Gdansku, Gdansk-Poland, Haute Ecole Namur-Liège-Luxembourg-Belgium, Université Rennes-France, University College SydDanmark-Denmark, among others. Other activities include Membership of scholarly committees, peer reviewer and editorial board of scientific journals, collaborations with foundations, NGO, associations and other organizations as radio and television. He has published books, chapters and several papers in national and international journals, and performed concerts with Ensemble, Orchestra and as soloist in Spain, Italy, Holland, China, Germany, Hungary, France and Belgium, with orchestras as the Mannheimer Ensemble Orchestra, the Amsterdam Shymphony Orchestra or the Munich Youth Orchestra in concert hall as the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam or the Herkulessaal of Munich.
